    Please five me the top 5 best Indian banks to open an account with. I want to open a saving account.

    Rather difficult to pin point which is the best. But as you mentioned, 5 best banks you can trust could be:-
    1. State bank of India 
    2. Axis Bank (formerly UTI Bank) 
    3. United Bank of India
    4. Corporation Bank
    5. HDFC Bank

    All these banks have interest rates more or less the same. It is a matter of personal choice. SBI and HDFC bank are my picks. SBI for long-term and HDFC for flexibility.
